The GKTECH Z33 350Z/V35/Z34 370z solid gearbox tripod mounts are a direct replacement of the standard rubber items which are prone to wear over time.

Nissan don't sell these bushes on their own and there really is no use of them not being mounted solidly to the gearbox itself. These are particularly useful in a drift car or track car where the car is prone to fast gear changes.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech solid tripod bushes?
The bushes remove the movement between the shifter and the gearbox itself. For a performance-orientated car, the last thing you want is to feel like you're driving a semi and these help achieve that.

What modifications are required, is this hard to fit?
No modifications are required just simply remove the OEM bushes and fit the solid bushes in their place.

Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?
Yes, it is relatively straightforward. Installation should take around 20 minutes on a hoist.

Great quality part with relatively easy install

Definitely recommend doing this while the box is out. Easy install with a small hydraulic press and even has an easy to follow youtube guide! shifter feels a little more solid with no downsides!

I did not even buy product. I saw gk techs response to the other reviewer Jon. "I think we do make it pretty clear with the warning"

No you dont! I have a 2003 350z , and i still dont know if its compatible. You posted the warning for a g35 early model, whatever the hell that even is.

Hi Clark, if you have a 350z that means you don't have a G35. As such, the warning would not apply to you. If there is ever any uncertainty, please feel free to reach out to the guys in customer service.

My own fault, added this to my order on a whim since I was gonna be working on the short-throw shifter. My own mistake, should have known my own vehicle. But, just was in a hurry, didn't think that Nissan had redesigned the shifter mount so dramatically in 2005. I do blame GKTech for not making it clear that this is 05+ so they lose 2 stars. I have 4 pretty little paperweights on my desk now which is ok. Sort of. Paid $5 each for them... I'd rather have little swords or something...

Hi Jon, you are correct. Under vehicle compatibility I think we do make it pretty clear with the warning 'note that early model do NOT have these bushes and are solid from factory'. In saying that, providing that they are in brand new condition you are welcome to return them for a store credit or cash refund.
