What is a Backorder?

Q: What is backorder?

When a product is on backorder, it means that we have sold out and we are opening a back order due to popular demand. This is essentially a queue, when new stock arrives from production, we’ll send your order.

Q: Will items in my order that are in stock be shipped out first?

We will send your order altogether once your backorder item is ready! You may wish to place separate orders if you want an item before the other is due back in stock.

The GKTECH Z33 350z/V35 Skyline rear subframe collars are used to eliminate axle tramp and to also tighten up the rear end giving more precise control of the vehicle under harsh driving conditions.

The OEM bushes are designed more for comfort than performance and by filling the voids within the factory subframe bushes it makes the subframe much more "as one" with the car. Noise isn't drastically effected compared to going to solid subframe bushes and these inserts are far easier to install than going to a solid subframe bush.

- 8 Piece Set
- Semi-solid are manufactured from proprietary 90sHA material
- Solid are CNC machined from a 6061-T6 aluminium

FAQs

Semi-solid or solid?
That's a good question. In most cases, you won't notice the feel of either as these inserts only fill the void that the OEM rubber bush leaves rather than being a complete replacement. The semi solid inserts can be a little more difficult to install if your OEM bushes are really badly worn but in almost all cases the semi-solid are perfectly fine and being significantly cheaper to produce/sell, are our recommendation.

Will this fit my car?
We can only confirm fitment for the vehicles listed above under "vehicle compatibility". If your car is not listed there, then we don't know if it will fit.

Do you make these to suit other cars?
We only sell the parts listed on our website. If it's not listed on our website, then we don't sell it. Sorry.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech slip in collars?
The slip in collars sit above and below your standard subframe bushes and essentially compact them. This results in less movement of the subframe and eliminates axle tramp and increases stiffness in the rear of the vehicle.

What modifications are required, is this hard to fit?
No modifications are required, simply just loosen your subframe while supporting it, slip in the collars and re-torque the subframe.

Is there anything else needed for installation?
No, you can use your existing subframe and nuts. In terms of the collars themselves, they will arrive as shown in the product photo.

Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?
Yes, the installation is pretty straight forward. The slip in collars are as the name suggests, slip in. Installation should take around 45 minutes.

Is there a noticeable difference in the feel of the car when driving around normally? Ie. any vibrations?
If you don't already have coilovers and other noisy parts then you will notice an increase in NVH however if you're running coilovers, there's no notable difference

Subframe collar Installation

I chose the semi-solid subframe bushings because I thought they would work better with the factory rubber bushings.
After completing the installation and some drive time, I believe I made the correct choice.
I was able to complete the install in my driveway.
By backing the car onto a set of ramps I had access to the underside of the car. By using a floor jack I was able to take the load off the rear subframe allowing the installation one side at a time - following the instructions as printed. Taking my time the install took less then two hours to complete.

Good product Easy Install

It was overall a very easy install. The only thing is, I think because my 350z was pretty high in mileage, the pizza collars didn't slip in right away. The bushing might have been weak and the inner part probably shifted closer to one side, making the clearance smaller. What I did was first sand down a bit of one side of the pizza insert (I don't think this did anything). Grease the pizza insert a lot and hammer it in a bit with a deadblow. Then I just installed the black piece back on, and torquing the part underneath pushed the collar into place without any trouble. Other than that I would recommend labeling the pieces themselves so that it is easier to identify which top piece goes in front and which one goes in back.

Best for price, easy to install, quality product that actually works👌

Can’t say much about it other than it’s the best bang for your buck, it’s absurdly easy to install, and the material makes for a quality product that actually works👌
