What is a Backorder?
Q: What is backorder?
When a product is on backorder, it means that we have sold out and we are opening a back order due to popular demand. This is essentially a queue, when new stock arrives from production, we’ll send your order.Q: Will items in my order that are in stock be shipped out first?
We will send your order altogether once your backorder item is ready! You may wish to place separate orders if you want an item before the other is due back in stock. In a drift application when high steering angles are required, the steering link and knuckle position can align, making steering very difficult. This is known as steering bind or over centering and the best solution is to move forward the inboard mount on the steering rack. This can be achieved with offset rack spacers, however, by creating this offset, a bending moment is applied to the steering rack. This over time leads to the deterioration of the rack seals, or even the bending of the rack. So, for a dedicated drift car, the best solution to steering bind is to do away with the offset rack spacers and relocate the entire rack forward.
Because of the shape of the OEM subframe, in order to relocate the rack, the OEM subframe must be cut apart and new mounts welded in along with bracing to strengthen the cut away sections.
Our kit moves the rack forward 30mm and contains a detailed install guide along with cutting templates to make the install process as smooth as possible.
This rack relocation has been designed from a 3D scan to ensure an accurate match and fitment.
This rack relocation also includes a set of billet solid steering rack bushes to ensure the relocated rack does not move. Solid bushes minimize toe compliance for a more direct feel for vehicle control and improved driver feedback.
Can be used in either a LHD or RHD configuration.
We also have the option of including the steering shaft extender, when relocating your steering rack the OEM steering column may no longer have sufficient thread engagement. Our steering shaft extender is the solution.
NOTE: The steering shaft extender must be fitted to the column side of the steering rack coupling, not on the steering rack side.
