GT86/FR-S/BRZの純正クラッチペダルリターンスプリングはかなり硬いです。クラッチペダルの感触が柔らかく不自然になります。

お好みのリダクションスプリング(本キットにはバネレートの異なるスプリングが2本付属)を使用することで、クラッチペダルのダイレクト感・メカニカル感が向上します。

純正クラッチペダルのリターンスプリングはかなり硬いです。クラッチペダルの感触が柔らかく不自然になります。お好みのリダクションスプリングを使用すると (このキットには異なるスプリングレートのスプリングが 2 つ付属しています)、クラッチペダルの感触がよりダイレクトで機械的なものになります。

First upgrade everyone should purchase for their GR86/BRZ

I hadn't driven a manual for a few years and thought I was just needing to get use to my GR86's clutch. After a month I still had issues with shifting smoothly from 1st to 2nd. Decided to give this spring replacement a try and it is night and day. You dont have that springy bouncy feeling when you first push in the clutch and if nice and firm now. You can feel the clutch engagement so much better and is not too stiff. I ended up using the lightest spring, the 66% reduction in assistance, and it is perfect now.

Works for the STI!

Bought these and installed the 66% spring on my 2019 STi. Drastic difference! Pedal and clutch engagement vastly improved and much more predictable. Highly recommended for all WRX and STi folks out there.

Clutch Spring

Opted for the thinner, 66% reduction in force spring. I was worried it would be too light, but its not, and I couldn't be happier. The stock GR86 spring is just a little too stiff, to the point where it's difficult to control the excessive recoil force that pulls the clutch thru the friction point in 1st and 2nd gear shifts. This lighter spring doesn't force the clutch out as hard which allows for better control in daily driving. Of course installation is a PITA due to the difficult to reach area, but still DIY.

Must Have Modification

I recently purchased a 2025 GR86, and thought i had lost all my manual shifting skills after 30 years, until i installed one of these springs. I installed the stiffer spring (33% reduction), and it made a huge difference in the feel of the clutch (more predictable) vs the stock. I had tried a car with a softer spring (66% reduction), plus no spring and landed on the one i finally installed. The cost of the set vs performance gain, makes it an easy decision.

Best upgrade for brz

Kit comes with 2 different springs to get the perfect pedal feel.for RHD remove the entire pedal assembly for easy fittment, then adjust clutch pedal..next step would be to get some GKTECH shifter springs for positive gear shifts
